What is provided?
- Swag with inbuilt mattress (or you are free to bring your own swag or tent)
- Spade, toilet paper, hand disinfectant, portable toilet seat
- Dishwashing gear
- Tables for cooking and serving
- Three delicious meals per day
- Juice, coffee, tea, water, wine
- Campfire cooking equipment— camp ovens, bbq plate, billys, pots, safety mitts
- Gas stove
- Dishes, cups, mugs and cutlery
- GPS navigators, emergency beacons, satellite phone, spot-tracker to allow family and friends to track our location in real time
- Vehicle tool kit, repair and recovery gear
- 4WD vehicles
- Inter-vehicle UHF radios and hand-held devices
- Maps, permits and passes for each vehicle
- Refrigerators and food storage
- Camp chairs and other group camping gear
- Insect repellent
- A small library of outdoor/spirituality books
What Should each participant bring?
(please limit your personal gear to one sturdy, flexible, dust-proof carry-on size bag - this space limit does not include your swag/tent if you choose to bring your own)- Your own swag or tent if you prefer not to use ours
- Sleeping bag, preferably down, rated at least to minus 5 degrees
- Small camping pillow
- Personal medicines and toiletries
- A small towel
- Water bottle
- Clothing which can be layered to accommodate changing temperatures (please avoid cotton as it holds moisture and wicks away body heat). Plan on a maximum of two changes.
- A warm beanie and gloves
- Sturdy enclosed footwear
- Head torch
- Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses
- Personal first aid supplies
- A few plastic bags for rubbish and damp gear
- Skin moisturizer and lip balm
- Camera, sketchpad, art supplies, journal, or other things to help you reflect and express yourself
- A book for personal use or to make available to others
- Cash—a small amount only
- Downloaded music which is significant to you to share with others in your vehicle
- Snacks—to share with others or just for you
What should I leave at home?
- Personal electronics which could distance you from the immediate experience of the land and other people
- Glass containers
- Recreational drugs and illegal substances
